MODELING MANAJEMEN INFORMASI DAN VERIFIKASI BERITA MENJELANG PEMILU DAN PEMILIHAN 2024: SEBUAH STUDI PRELIMINARY TENTANG UPAYA MENCEGAH BLACK CAMPAIGN DAN HOAX
Abstract
Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengembangkan model manajemen informasi dan verifikasi berita yang efektif untuk mencegah penyebaran black campaign dan hoax menjelang Pemilu dan Pemilihan 2024. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kepustakaan atau library research dan survei online terhadap responden yang terdiri dari masyarakat umum, jurnalis, dan pegiat media sosial. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif untuk menghasilkan analisis yang mendalam dan rekomendasi yang dapat dipertimbangkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model manajemen informasi yang dikembangkan berdasarkan konsep Malak, yaitu acquiring, organizing, storing, dan using information ditambah dengan tahapan verifying sebelum organizing, dapat menjadi panduan dalam menyampaikan informasi yang benar dan terpercaya. Begitupun dengan teknik verifikasi berita yang dapat dilakukan dengan beberapa teknik, yaitu: check the source, check the fact, check the images, dan check the date dikembangkan menjadi model verifikasi berita sebagai panduan masyarakat dalam memilih informasi yang benar dan mampu mencegah penyebaran hoax atau black campaign menjelang Pemilu 2024. Edukasi dan pemahaman tentang media sosial dan platform digital perlu ditingkatkan agar masyarakat dapat menjadi lebih waspada dan bijak dalam menyebarkan informasi.
